A fascia is the flat vertical board that covers the end of the rafter that extends below the roofline. Gutters are commonly mounted over the fascia boards.Fascias are usually painted the same colour as the trim windows. Accenting this area can be very effective, but it is not the norm. When considering a colour change on the fascia, don’t use a loud colour. Instead, use a subtle colour to give a dramatic shadowing effect.
